Sheila Wanite [nee Bautz] is a mother of four sons and the Authoress of  the Epic Fantasy Book Series THE CODE OF THE BESTIA. Her first book in the series, THE ANGEL OF THE HEARTH, has been an International success since its original release on April 28, 2023. By July 2023, the book was described as a "Bestseller" & "Masterpiece" by The Royal Collection who offered 20 limited leather-bound book editions. THE ANGEL OF THE HEARTH also appeared on bookseller's Best Selling Titles lists. In addition, this literary work is also included as a textbook world-wide.

Sheila's Foundational Love for Writing Epic Fantasy

A diverse writer with a foundational love for writing Epic Fantasy,  Sheila wrote her first Epic Fantasy book, a sequel to The Odyssey, in grade nine. Her highschool English teacher, Mr. Yuzik, requested to keep it... and made a prediction about Sheila and her writing. Her robust published portfolio includes true crime, fantasy, poetry, numerous articles and research pieces as it continues its expansion into seasonally themed fiction novellas, historical fiction, horror and other literary genres.

Sheila's Advocacy

An advocate for human rights, Sheila has advocated on various government levels, including through the legal system to the Supreme Court of Canada. She received a positive Kirkus Review on her investigative True Crime manuscript about work-place deaths in Canada, WALKING THE CUTLINE WHEN COMPANIES KILL, which is available world-wide. 

Sheila is in the process of writing another True Crime on corrupt child custody court cases, which has become an epidemic. Although she is focusing on a powerful case study, she reveals and shares international empirical studies and research to share with her International audience.

As A Scholar

Sheila has also Internationally represented the University of Saskatchewan on World Class Day (2019), where universities in India, China, Netherlands, Nigeria and Canada presented their research projects. Sheila's™ area of study includes an Honours Bachelor of Arts (HBA) in English Literature and achieving to finalize her Honour Bachelor of Arts (HBA) in Sociology. Since 2022, Sheila has also worked as a tutor and writing instructor for First Nations University of Canada in their Social Services department. 

The Wild Life

A wildlife, animal and nature lover, Sheila has always sought the refuge of the natural world as a sanctuary to recharge. Her favourite wildlife magazine for research is National Geographic. She has a Rottweiler named Cochise, who doesn't pay rent, but provides security and a lil village havoc. Sheila also previously owned and bred Straight Egyptian Arabian horses, naming her favorite riding mare Mashkourah, and the first filly she bred, Eternal Essence, to which she kept and loved both for two decades.

Currently, Sheila is typing epic ideas as she plots sitting at her tiny desk in a tiny village....

Fun Facts:

Sheila was named by her father of Russian (Slavic/Indigenous) heritage and ancestry on both his paternal and maternal side. Her second name's origin is Native American and means "[The] Charger", making her name translate to "Woman" or "Heavenly Charger". Born a Canadian, Sheila's maternal lineage includes Polish/Russian ancestry from her maternal Baba whom she was very close with and who taught her The Rules of A Lady; with her maternal grandfather being an American German.
